Staying nearby ensures an easy start (trips begin around 6 a.m.) and gives you a chance to soak up nostalgic vibes before plunging into river action. All this is just a scenic two-hour drive from Las Vegas, making it ideal for weekend thrill-seekers.

Day One: Rapids, Caves & Camp Under the Stars

Rise early and gather in Peach Springs for check-in—you’ll store your gear in a provided dry bag and board a shuttle down Diamond Creek Road. Soon you’ll be paddling through white water rapids, then stopping to climb ropes and ladders into the Travertine Cavern Falls—a hidden grotto waiting to be explored. After a riverside lunch, you’ll continue downriver, camping overnight in the Canyon. Enjoy a hearty steak dinner, swap stories by the campfire, and fall asleep under the immense Grand Canyon sky.

Day Two: Smooth Floating & River Stories

Wake to a riverside breakfast before trading paddling for motorized boat time, floating through calmer segments of the Colorado River. This is your moment to absorb canyon vistas and learn about the land—and the Hualapai Tribe—from your expert Indigenous guides. After a relaxed lunch on the shores, you’ll journey downstream to Pearce Ferry, and shuttle back to Peach Springs, completing your Grand Canyon River Rafting adventure.

Optional Helicopter Exit: Grand Finale from the Canyon Floor

In October departure dates, you’ll ascend via helicopter from Quartermaster Canyon to the rim—an exhilarating finish that blends Colorado River Rafting with aerial thrills.
